| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
This is our basecamp in Erg Ech Chouech, 10 km from the Algerian border. It is windy, cold (in Sahara terms) and cloudy. I came back from work and I noticed the incredible contrast of the basecamp tents on this beautiful sky.
I took a shot - with digital videocamera Canon DC10, unfortunately. Still, the colours are relatively good. I increased the distortion control to 100 % to gain a similarity between the curved sealings and the Earth's curvature. Strange idea, but I couldn't help it :)
I post the original as Workshop also. |

Hi Asparuh,
an interesting reportage and informations in note. Fine presentation of basecamp. Yes, curve horizon line is unexpected. Pleasant colours and well contrast. I like it.

Hello Asparuh
I actually like the idea of the 'earth's curvature' which reminds the shape of the tents. For sure, the working conditions in there are maybe not the most convenient! I just notice some noise in the sky but nonetheless it's an interesting picture!
Cheers
Marilyn
Hi Asparuh,
I think tha the curve horizon is a good idea. Nicely composed and great colors.

Merhaba, Asparuh;
Congratulations, very good photo. Especially I like the "Earth's Curvature" behind of the tents.
