Photographer’s Note
We paid a visit to a local school just across the road from where I was teaching. Here a school girl is clearly thrilled with taking a photo of one of her friends with one of our cameras. There was a thought by one of the doctors there that we should leave the camera with her and get her to send us the photos she took of her daily life and life in the school.
In the end the logistics of doing it became complicated and we never did. But it has been done in India in a slum, I think, with great success and it completely changed the life of the person given the camera.

Hello Mike,
I love the joy on the face of this girl. You captured this candid scene very well, and it brought a smile to my face, too. :-)

Hello Mike,
I think it's a VERY good photo! Absolutely fantastic expression of joy on the girl's face! it's a pity that the third child's face isn't seen and it's a pity about that crop on the right side... but the most important thing is the moment of joy and genuine interest which you captured perfectly!
Interesting note, too!
best regards,
Elena
