Photographer’s Note
While cycling around the town of Livingstone, I spotted some kids doing acrobatics in the field. I approached and asked if I could take photos of their stunts. They just continued to raise their energy levels by performing more and more tricks for me to capture.
With this one, I've selected the subject, used feathering to soften the selection, and then inverted it. Then I've used some radial blur to get the movement effect in the background, and vignetted around the frame as well.

Hey Dave, I like it. I like the shot, the way you have it composed and with the excellent stopped action, and I like the perspective you put into it with your PP. I read that with some interest. I've never tried radial blur, it's kind of a neat effect.
Thanks, enjoyed! John

I follow your pp but I am not sure about the effect of the blurred background. I believe the blur was not necessary for the desired ' extra" movement effect. Otherwise, the shot is good and the partial sharpness on the kid is excellent.
So, it appears that you spent quite a bit of time in Livingstone, going around town. Was it good?

Hi, sure the energy is in the picture, very nice shot, I'm not convinced the blur was absolutely necessary but it's still a good picture.
Tahnk you

Excellent photo that really highlights this kid's abilities. I'd like to see the original, prior to the blurring. I guess since the kid is upside down, I really wonder who necessary it is to enhance the energy. The fact he is in focus at all seems very impressive. Great photo.

Perfect timing. It's not easy to capture such acrobatics and you did very well. The detail of the boy's shadow is an important feature. The PP has worked well to centre our attention on the subject. Well done

This is definitely your territory Dave, shots full of movement! The has so much motion I feel like taking a step back for fear of getting hit by a stray leg! Do you use a noise reduction software at all? Or is it just the blur that makes it so smooth? Rgds, Leilani
