Photographer’s Note
Taken while riding bicycles around Livingstone Zambia. I would get off whenever I saw a scene or someone I'd like to photograph. In this relaxed and calm street full of greenary I met some friendly people going about their daily lives. Taken in the afternoon as the sun was lowering. I noticed that Zambians were the most friendly of the 3 East African countries I visited.

Hey David,
This child looks shy, but still wanting to look at the camera, sort of a mischevious look. Nice light and I love the lane of trees behind also with some of the same green as his t-shirt. Nicely composed too.

Hi David,
I like the expression of the boy, his pert attitude with the smile that accompanies a look that he tries to make impressive. It's very cute. I also appreciate the sharpness and the details of the skin and hair, and the contrast and colors between greens and brown. It wasn't so easy with the light, as the background a bit too clear testifies it... but you managed well the light on the model.

Marine

Hi David
An excellent Zambian portrait, with good sharpness & dof, & a natural looking, 'unposed' smile. I like the shallow dof. Tfs!

hello David
I like very much the expression of this boy,shy but smiling! The light is beautiful, and the colours ,with the green t-shirt on the green trees are superb!I like to see the landscape behind the little boy, thus he is in his element, but as it's blurred, this is not too much present!
Regards.

Hi David,
Another Beautiful close up portrait of kids. This one really stand out against the backdrop, so much so the backdrop look unreal, as if painted like in the studio where they have painted backdrop. Great sharpness on the kid with a timid smile. Great cropped I think, he's almost poping out of the frame. Great shot. Thnaks

Hello David,
You placed the child excellent to the left of the picture, this gives always a good composition. Certainly when you choice for a blur background.
I like the look of the eyes and teeth together with the position for the child to the photographer.
Very well done.
Best regards,
John.

A friendly young Zambian with a typical child's cheeky grin. Very well captured Dave, I like the BG just enough detail to see but not competing.
Nice portrait.
Cheers

david
another perfect portrait, full of life and joy. The boy playing with you is what we would say (a model who knows how to talk with a camera). Perfect light, framing, colors, subject, etc..
