Photographer's Note

I always wanted to see the dunes and I had the chance when we stopped for the night at Erfoud. The dunes trip was an optional treat. Of course when we got there, a little later than other groups of tourists, the dunes were scarred with footprints and punctuated along the ridges by dozens of tourists. It was hard to take a shot which payed homage to such beauty, especially as the sun descended over the horizon. Since tourists have become part of the dune scene, I have not cloned them out and I am sure the man in white earns his living dealing with tourists.
