Taking chances with the mods? ;D I think this one is TE suitable, as it shows a part of Essaouira daily life, seagulls and cats...! This one caught a good piece of fish here too! ( The low and close up POV is impressive, and so is the selective focus, blurring, but just enough, the city in BG...

Hi Wanda,
Great way of showing the city walls with some action in the foreground. This cat is so busy eating that it doesn't seem to be bothered by your presence, and I love the detail of the gull in the back who is watching from afar just in case the cat happens to leave some leftovers. Really a wonderful scene!

Wanda I was intrigued by the thumbnail and upon opening it up I am honestly delighted by the composition. Not that I like cats per say...its just such a wonderful capture and to see the big kitty delve into the fishy meal. Good shot!

The cat need a tad more sharpness, which can be easily done using photoshop. Otherwise, this is a fascinating shot with a good pov, depth and interesting bg & subject. Congrats.

either this cat was very hungry or you are a very close friend of the family of cats (as far as i know they don't really enjoy much company during lunch time) ... either way (and whatever the focal lenght) this puts a large smile on my face ;o)! ... creatively pictured world heritage sight ;o)!

This a terrific capture -- and not just by the cat. The POV is great and the colors are spot-on. I spent a few days in Essaouira in May and this brings back some nice memories for me.

Dag Wanda,
Je bent dus ook weer terug, hopelijk een mooie reis gemaakt met vele indrukken. Ik vond Marokko een openbaring in diversiteit in mensen en landschap. Essaouira is een mooie locatie, zoveel te zien, zoveel indrukken. Je 5D was een prima metgezel zo te zien, de detailering ligt al stukken hoger van je eerder werk.
Hopelijk lukt het een beetje met het omzetten van de RAW...
Mooi laag standpunt hier met de kat met zijn lunch in zijn bek terwijl de meeuw in de achtergrond wellicht nog op een vergeten restje zit te wachten...

The cat have the same color that the wall, the rocks and the sea lol
I can see that the sea is always very blue at Essaouira ;)

a great shot! Technically it`s just perfect. Must have been pretty bright, since you have 1/250 at f/18. Great composition with the cat placed off center, it`S ncie you have the focus only on the cat. Perfect colors and light managment, I love it!

Hello, Wanda

Lovely and lively morning capture. I know that place, I took some photos; but with high depth of field. Nevertheless, this approach is even better, keeping me focused on the cat's colours.

I was sitting on this exact place during the World and Gnaoua music festival 2008, along with many other music fans, enjoing the scene on the square in front of us. There are 300 000 visitors for the festival each year, it is fantastic experience...

The close crop makes it really excellent. As if I was there, on the wall of Essaouira, you suggest in the bokeh... So typical from the place, so well done...
