Penguin vs. Iceberg

I meet this Adeli pengiun in Ezzcura Inlet, 400 meters depth fiord part of Admirality Bay. Iceberg visit us twice, it was biggest iceberg last summer, under water it was about 1oo meters high.

Salut Piotr,
Il a l'air cool ce pingouin solitaire. Il a près de lui tout ce dont il a besoin y compris un photographe pour le rendre célèbre.
Les lumières sont bien capturées et le cadrage avec l'animal à droite bien élaboré.

IL est super sympa lui.
Mais qu'est-ce qu'il peut donc bien regarder?
Les couleurs sont très belles.
Une atmosphère tranquille qui ne doit pas déplaire à ce pingouin.

Hi Piotr;

I spotted one of your photographs for the first time the other day. Now it seems every time I turn around I am seeing your stuff more and more (which is a good thing). First of all- you take some great photos- and secondly... how many TE members are in ANTARCTICA!!!!! Hahaha.

I saw the documentary "March of the Penguins" last year, and was quite impressed.

Your composition here is good, as is the sharpness, and levels. Although very bright, you managed the levels well as you can see the definition of the iceburg against the backdrop.

Great photo. Super detail. Very tactile image. You capture many textures -- on the shelf of the iceberg, the surface of the water, the skull of the rock, the coat of the penguin. It's so fuzzy. Feels like you could reach into the photograph and hug it.
