A fine DOF leaving the mountain behind out of interest but still bringing ambience. Nice S-curved diagonal of the animal in your composition, the eyes naturally start their travel at the tail and ends up in the face. Strong golden cut position of the little face.

And yes, its cute and that helps too!

une image qui mérite d'être sur TN, elle est tout à fait magnifique. Vous avez de la chance d'avoir pu voir cela et approcher l'animal. Une image à mer dans toutes les chambres d'enfant.

very nice shot, even if I know that you scared so much this young elephant seal, I took some picture of these animals in patagonia and they were so scared about me that they all left the beach and went ot the sea, I didn't fell so well doing this..anyway great shot
