Photographer’s Note
Sevanavank is a monastery located on the shore of lake Sevan not far from the town of Sevan. It was founded in 874 AD. On the picture you can see the two churches, Sourb Arakelots and Sourb Astvatsatsin and they are very similar. This beautiful place is not so far from Yerevan, so you can visit it on the day trip.

A great photo of these two very similar churches. The image is sharp to show much detail of the brickwork. What I especially like are the glimpses of the surrounding countryside - the barren hill beyond, the distant township, the lake and people walking by and others relaxing.
