| Ararat, the famous Biblical mountain, is as real as real can be. Here it is seen from the Armenian side, although Ararat lies in Turkey. The view is marvellous, but on my photo a little cloud covers the top, and a bird (thanks to Noah!) passes by. |

Hi Monica,
Such a beautiful part of the world that so few people go to see! You've captured how barren the place is well, and a nice big blue sky (although I probably would have cropped some of it away).
I saw this place from the Turkish side in November (I'll have to upload the photo, so thanks for reminding me!), and what amazed me was that a mountain so large sits in almost complete isolation from any other mountains. Quite a sight!
