While skulking around in Jakar, I came across this 11 year old girl tending her family's shop, who had the most pleasant and sweetest disposition and very interested in the world beyond Bumthang.

Just a wonderful portrait shot here...and what a great face, too! It's just what TrekEarth is all about...discovering beautiful people like hers to share with everyone else. It's really one of the nicest portrait shots I've seen here. And your note on her character really adds to the whole photo. Very nicely done.

Interestingly, when you see this photo with all the other photos...it doesn't quite pop out...because she's dark against a dark background...but up close is where it really shines.

Hello Baron. She is indeed a beautiful girl. I tried to brighten up slightly her face with a workshop, taking a different benefit from light and making the contrast with the black background more striking.

I like the black on black thing ( background girl's dress.
if it wasn't for the earings, the green Tshirt and the colour of her eyes it could almost be a B&W shot.

Sharpnes is a little soft though.

but great expression
