Photographer’s Note
Just back from Bhutan....!!!
Archery is Bhutan's favourite national pastime! One can only dress in traditional formal attire...no jean clad archers here!!!!
A truly manly sport the compound bows need a real man to pull them....expensive too as all bows are over the $ 1000 mark...
Hoyt bows from America are the favourite and Easton arrows fly truest - according to the Bhutanese!!
Betting is common and a stiff drink before the competition is said to calm the nerves.
Ladies are not welcomed into the all male preserve.

Hi Vijay,
Colourful and exciting!
Very good focus on the face of the archer and the arrow. And a good depth of focus also adds value. Note is very nice too.

The expression on the mans face is really interesting, you can feel the intense concentration.
Nice composition and vibrant colours with a blurred background.
I do find it a little off putting though that the man at the back is looking at the camera while the other two are looking at the target

The look on the archer's face is fantastic. the other's look of intensity and anticipation is great and the colors are very good too.
Great details.

Great colour and sharpness here.
Love the concentration shown in the mans eyes, you really portray a great sense that something dramatic is about to happen as the other men wait.

Hello VIjay,
YOu have perfectly captured this man's concentration and the men behind him add to the scene by giving some perspective.
Well done

Nice shot.
You have captured the concentration on the archers face very well and I like the tight composition.
One minor point is that the white highlights on his sleve look a bit blown on my monitor.

Hey tt! Excellent shot! I love the colours and the overall feel of the pic..i do although agree with Dee - I feel like grabbing the head of the guy in the bg and turning it towards the target - spoiled a classic! really nice exposure. AND i love the bow!

Hi Vijay
You got a beautiful moment there! We can feel all the concentration of this man which have a beautiful and sharp glance. I like the composition of your shot and the background is good too. They have traditional dress but very modern bow! That is funny. Thx
