Photographer’s Note
These young women were part of a road gang mending the road at the Duchu Pass, the altitude is about 10000ft (3000m) AMSL, so when the weather's good you get amazing views, but when it's bad...living there can not be pleasant at times. I suspect the ladies were Nepali guest workers. The container has molten tar in it from a nearby brazier.
