It was a very dull day, and not much movement in the town, but I did see these fisherpeople returning home, up the river. A very dreary place, with just a few splashes of colour, enhanced a bit with the saturation tool in PS.
This is a frontier town on the Cambodian border with Thailand, in the Gulf of Siam.

Hi Kevin, I like the odd splashes of bright colours in this photo. Certainly cheers the dull day up. Good compo and result. TFS.

You manage to turn the dull light out to your advantage Kevin. The white sky and the coloured dots does indeed provide and interesting contrast.

Don't know why I like the scene so much. Guess it has that 'another day on the road' atmosphere which is such a big part of any journey (but the part that one doesn't write home about).

Muy buena composicion de colores, excelente reflejo en el canal, un poco oscura en los alrededores del canal pero creo que si tratas de poner mas claridad se pierden los cocoteros asi como se perdio el color del cielo.Well done.

Hi Kevin! Interesting picture. The reflections came out very nice. I like the location as well.

i like the compo, the saturated colours work well for me here. too bad for the rather overexposed sky, one of the things i hate about short term travels, you can't control the weather and you have no time to stay for better conditions :-( nice shot though, i like the houses on the water.

p.s. speaking of travel, i see you've travelled se asia quite extensively, any advice on where to go, itinerary? (this is a url to my post in the travel forum:

I like it but not sure how to describe it. I guess art is a funny thing sometimes, you just like it and thats good enough. And you are right, its got real interesting splashes of colors. Very nice. Cheers Kevin, John.

A good composition and an interesting environment, Kevin. I like this kind of photo, it make me see and understand a place that I didn't visit till now.

Like the contrast; Fix perhasp tehw hite sky in photosphop to balance the picture a bit more.

The other side of Cambodia...it is more than the famed Angkor. I like the colors though the washed out sky distract a bit. Very documnetray. I like it.

Hi Kevin,
I know , scans will soon be past for you, looking forward to it, as in scans contrast and colors are the most difficult issues to handle, here the contrast and colors are a bit hard giving it a more dramatic feeling certainly an excellent approach but still keeps me wondering how the real picture is like.
Eagerly waiting to see your new harvest soon ?
Henk
