Surrounding Wat Preah Keo (Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha) better known as the Silver Pagoda is an open gallery on which has been painted a mural the epic of the Reamker (as the Ramayana is known in Cambodia). The walls have suffered from neglect, use of the gallery for storage and patching rather than restoration.
The zipper-like break in the mural drew my eye. |
