I just had a chance to visit Angkor Wat. I was walking around the Angkor Wat complex and I came across this couple being watered by the monk. I used my 200 shooting from afar. This is a very common thing that people do to clean up their mind and free themselves from evil that is believed to live inside their body. I did it before I took exam, back long long ago during high school. And it worked. I passed all exams :-)

Hi Sothy,
A very inetersting shot of this water cleansing. Vertical framing works well with the steps leading up, and there are some really nice details. I have learnt something new about this ritual, thanks.

Wanda

Hi Sothy,
An interesting subject, which I've not heard of before and never saw when I went to Cambodia. Using the long lens has worked well because they are clearly not perturbed by your presence. Thanks for showing, and the new information!
Regards
Lee

hey sothy what's up man?... what a cool shot his is... i like the water drops cought in the air, and that ritual atmosphere also... a bit too tight on the left may be but still very good... take care pal... korkut

Good one Sothy, just a little soft but excellent atmosphere and added warmth look beautiful, thanks

The action is captured perfectly, Sothy, with just the right speed to show the splashing water, not frozen, not too blurred. It is also a good documentary shot of an aspect of culture. All religions seem to use the poring of water as a symbol of purification.regards kevin

Very interesing moment, superb timing :)
