Photographer's Note

Being rather desperate what to post, I have looked at one of my folders called "Various". There are photos there that I could show somewhen. Quite often I do not know from where and when they are. So one picture from my deep archive. Not so old like Gert's photos, but 12 years is also something. The photo is from my 5 weeks journey to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. I remember well this road leading from the border with Thailand in Aranyapratet to Siem Reab. The night before was one of most dramatic from my journeys. We learnt that there were the riots in Phnom Penh and the border was closed. It seemed that we couldn't see Angkor Wat, the highlight of the whole trip. But finally all went well. The whole road looked like this. You can see that the roofs and leaves are all covered with red dust. After some hours we also were covered. I have heard that now it is quite different.
