Photographer's Note

This is a carving of one of the apsara (heavenly nymph) dancers in the temple of Ta Prohm in Angkor. The temple dates back to the end of 12th century, and is well known for being covered with dense jungle (and also recently as a location for Tomb Raider movie). Wandering around the complex allows you not only to see huge tree roots spanning the ruins, but you can also find lots of fine details, which somehow resisted the time and are still in very good condition.
