This is a Cambodian girl dressed as legendary Apsara dancer. Apsaras were supernatural beings: they appear as young women of great beauty and elegance who are proficient in the art of dancing. Their dance is believed to origin from the times of ancient Khmer empire in Angkor. You can find so many Apsaras carved in the walls of Angkor temples.

Nowadays the whole 'Apsara dance' thing is mainly geared to tourists, but nevertheless the girls dressed in such special clothes are very impressive.

This is pin sharp, but I would remove the left part so the portrait is not right in the middle of the picture (it was not possible to tilt the camera on the right because the back red woman will disturb the picture reading)

Michal,
A very intermate detail portrait of this beautiful dance. I like the shot of her profile, absolutely stunning looking girl. You did a great job wiht eh light and the clarity is very good. I love the details of here costume as well. Her dark brown eyes are very engaging. Lovely shot.
Way

In Cambodian way those Apsara = Angel who were born from Ocean Milk shake. They are messenger from earth to heaven. During Angkor Ara those dancers were not allowed to marry. They will still virginity the rest of their life.
Anyway it's stunning shot.
