Photographer’s Note
While was in Phnom Penh in 2004, i was introduced to this Master Sculptor Dy Preung. He survived the Khmer regime and speak fluent French due to french occupying indo-china. During our interview to him, he felt that the actual Angkor Wat might collapse one day, hence he used the scuplting skill he learned from his teacher who is a French and build this replica of Angkor Wat and Banteay Srei. This is the miniature of Angkor Wat. After walking around it for 15 minutes, I decided to stand in this position in order framed it so that the entire view fit into my camera with an angle. The entrance fee is only US 1.50.
