Photographer’s Note

I was on my way back from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, and half way there in Kampong Thom province, I saw a lot of people net fishing, and so I stopped and did some photographs. It was so much fun to see so many people do the fishing. It was during rainy season. This guy was so shy that I was waiting to take photos of him.

You timed it well and I love the net fanning out that way as it is thrown and it fills the composition so nicely.

You are the one who ended up with the best catch of the day...

I really like the translucence of the fishing net and the floating effect. Couln't possibly fill the frame in any better way.

The motion of the firsherman is a plus.

That's an impressive shot with an excellent timing and a strong POV. I tried several times to catch such a moment and it was not as easy as it seemed. Here, I like very much how the net looks like a jellyfish and the well saturated colors. There is a good dynamic with both the movement of the net and the gesture of the man, that gives a powerful impulse to it. Congratulations!
