What a pity we can't see the face of the man!
Nevertheless, this is a wonderfull shot I'd like to be able to take ;-)
Very nice!

it's a brilliant capture of their day to day life, nice action shot, i can see the droplets from the net casting, beautiful color contrasts, well done.

Wow -- this is a really cool angle. It can't help but remind me of a shot I posted from Thailand a while back, but that was from a totally different angle and from some distance -- it's nowhere near as stunning as this.
Great focus and a nice fast shutter speed to catch those tiny water droplets -- well done!

Hi David,
What a wonderful shot. Very good details (all those drops in the air). You say you were far from the subject but I think the result is still very good. Full of movement too. TFS.
Nice job.
Quentin.

Wonderful! The details on the net are amazing I think this is a better shot for having been on the zoom and your timing was perfect! Well done

Hi David,
a really great dynamic shot. However you were far from the subject we can see very well the small details too like the drops scattered by the net.
Congratulations!

Hey Dave,
Beautifully captured, as others have said. It really is an image of motion frozen by the lens... That outward burst of droplets on the left is wonderful!
Cheers,
Clare

A well timed shot with a fine sense of motion. The triangle made by the net is a fine element in the compo. The lower edge of it gives a strong diagonal too.

David
An excellent catch here of this fisherman. Catching the moment is the key to a good shot. It has been achieved here with the action showing up well. A good effort. Well done.

Wow what a great action shot, love the way you've frozen the net and the specks of water coming from the net. Just a shame we can't see the mans face!
- Luko

Dunno whether he got a big one on his own, but you got a very good catch, David.
Usually I don't appreciate much long end zoom takes because there's a long distance to the subject, but with the help of your low angle, we feel ourselves into the action.
Of course we always want more and I would have liked a little part of his face visible some 1/100th second later... but that's humanly impossible to monitor, or with several takes and a fast motorwinder.
Something YOU can do about is THAT frame which is a bit too fancy to my taste. Stick to plain white or black and that will be better IMHO.

Lovely catch, David, beautifully measured. There is an ethereal quality t this golden net n front f the man that is quite reare and special. the whole image shimmers, almost 3D-like.
Well done indeed!

I really like this shot. The moment is just perfect - the net makes this photo dramatic and really graphic. Timing is what its all about.
Colors, framing and timing is superb. Fantastic photo.
BTW, it would be nice if you can enable a general commenting/contact me in your website (super-dave)

Wow... great shot. You've really captured some great action in this one, and even managed to get a very well composed shot in the short time that you had. The DOF is great. Compositionally my only suggestion would be to either include the whole net or cut a little bit more out of it, because now it seems like it's too close to all there to keep my eye in the frame, but I understand the difficulty of smaller compositional points in an action shot like this. A very interesting and dynamic picture!

The motion is nicely captured, beautiful indeed.. The drops of water adds great substance to the whole image
Excellent! movement, color, shape....i think it's stunning :) It's hard to catch those moments just so.
You have stopped his action into your camera, and your photo has stopped me dead while I was moving around to... look for the favorite photo.
Thank you.

Even with the zoom you have captured a strikingly sharp photograph with great detail, however too bad the face of the fisherman is hiding behind the net
this is the perfect moment, well captured,
David.

Wonderful capture, David! You had the perfect timing, and I don´t think that you lost the man´s face. I like him anonymous, since the important subject here is the net, perfectly spread and focused. The strange green moss over the waters on background gives a nice colour and contrast. Well done! Cheers!

I missed this before, David - great capture and very good focus and DOF given how far away you were. I like the unusual colours in this and fact that the background fades off to an almost black 'nothing' - it gives the image quite an ethereal feel. Cheers . . . David

this shot flows through great graphism and dynamism. there isn't enough ism's in the world to describe how great this shot is... i like the droplets of water flying off the net. to me, i wouldn't worry about not seeing the guys face because the net is the subject in the photo.. me likey long time. 40 baht! ok 200 baht! you nice guy mister

Great point of view. I like the shot from in front; very difficult to do with fishermen. Well-timed, too.
How come I have never commented on this one before???? Love how the net fills the screen and hides the face of the fisherman. Tough shot considering is a counter-light shot. Great colors!
Cheers,
Enrique

My favourite of the day. There is not the slightest bit I would criticize in this shot: I just really think it is great! Colours, perfect sharpness, motive and the story in the notes box... That one indeed belongs to the category "best of the best".
