Photographer’s Note
Child living inside the walls of Angkor Thom. The children are the most compelling reason to visit. So sad yet so very refreshing to see them so happy and willing to learn. Please comment as this is my first upload on TrekEarth. Thank you.
May 6, 2007 update: I posted a bigger & little bit brighter version in the workshop. I also cloned out the piece of trash in the upper left.I workshopped instead of reposting because I wanted to keep the original version just to be able to see what my first post looked like.
Thanks,
John

I witnessed some children in Cambodia begging and it is a truly disturbing scene.
I like the picture. Sometimes I though find that a closeup on the face can be more effective than a full length view. Just an idea.
Can't wait to see you sunrise in Angkor Wat! :)

Hello John
Of course this picture deserves a critique, not only because this is your first upload, but also because this is a very good picture. I like the effect of the light & shade here as the little girl looks at you with bright eyes. I agree with Mathieu that perhaps a closeup may have been better in this case, maybe...just a thought. Having said that this is a very good picture, one I would have been proud of. Also one small suggestion..try to use the max. 800 pixel size for the picture...this picture deserves it. Well done...look forward for more from you

Well exposed and a bit too saturated, but it may be my Cambodian monitor. 800 pixels is better.
Great Job.
