Overwhelmed mood Photo

Photographer’s Note

During my last travel in Cambodia i took Hundreds of children portraits, that’s amazing to see happiness and smiles even if they have a tough life .

But when I took this one I knew that I will bring back Sadness on my “memories”.

His mother is very poor and handicapped ,and he certainly already has an heavy background .

I am always overwhelmed by what could remove smile from a children face...

Salut Tom,
J’aime toujours autant ta façon de photographier tes jeunes sujets en contre-plongé !
Ca va à l’encontre de toutes les règles que l’on ma toujours rabâchées…
Genre sa donne des grands fronts, ca déforme, c’est pas naturel et patati et patata…
Ben moi, j’adore ca !
C’est clair, faut que je m’y mette !
C’est excellent !
Pis les B&W, comme toujours, c’est diaboliquement beau !

salut Tom,
un cadrage en contre plongée un peu déroutant pour moi à première vue,mais finalement cela met le visage désemparé du gamin en valeur.;)

beautiful. i like the point of view - the kid looking slighty up adds to the feeling that it's a big, big and rather scary world that looms above him. great photo.

Une fois de plus, c'est poignant et touchant.
Impressionnant ces gros yeux qui nous fixent et cette petite bouche légèrement ouverte....une fois de plus tu laisses passer beaucoup d'émotion dans ton sujet.
La pdc est top et ton pdv de haut super intéressant.
Bref, un régal

Hello Tom,
This is another terrific addition to your impressive photo gallery. The composition is perfect. The child posed in front of the railroad tracks is an obvious indicator that this child is living a tough life. The bunny rabbit outfit shows that this child is still a child and hopefully he won't have to adapt to his difficult envrionment and grow up too soon. I admire you for brightening up these children's lives, even for just a brief moment.

un POV que j'adore, mais qui ne marche jamais bcp sur TE... superbe n&b! tu releves dignement le défi de remplacer simon comme maitre absolu du n&b sur TE! ;-)

J'ai appris que tu as diner jeudi soir avec hervé ds le resto thai ou j'avais emmené simon et nono.. J'ai mes sources...;-)
