Photographer’s Note
A child street seller in Siem Reap selling postcards. This boy was especially desperate looking and very malnourished. We did what we could but probably not enough. Those that have been there know what I mean. A couple seconds after this was taken we watched the "guard" at the Ivy hit the kid with his stick (again for those who have been there - the guy who sits on the corner there and try's to keep the beggars away. For those who haven't - there are mostly open air bars and restaurants where the children can come right up to you - the businesses don't like this and try to keep them beyond the curb you see in the background). It really is ashame.
Anyway, not a great shot technically but a boy I will always remember so I figured I would share.

Even if the shot is not one of your best is definitely one which shows the other face of the big majority of people around the world. The PoV is great and the note very good. I was in Siam Reap last year and I remeber the kids by night outside pubs!!
cheers
