Most people prefer the wonderful view of Angkor Wat, but for me, the statues on the bridge leading to Victory Gate at Angkor Thom is something that strikes the imagination.

Here’s a tuktuk, the vehicle most independant travelers will take in order to get acces to the far away archeological sites from Siem Reap, where most hotels are located.

Please have a look at the WS to meet Ramondr. He was my driver for 9 days, but more than that, he became a great friend. We had a lot of fun and this guy was always punctual, soft-spoken and patient. He posess a genuine good attitude and great heart. He never had the chance to visit his own capital, so I bring him with me to Pnomh Pen and it was a pleasure to discover the city together.

Salut Andre,
C'est pas le genre d'image qu'on penserait spontanement a prendre en vertical, toutefois ici ca apporte un vrai plus pour positionner le tuk tuk entre les deux rangees de statues, ca apporte un vrai plus a l'image et ca me plait. Sache aussi que moi j'ai aime le titre recherche, et le WS.

Encore une magnifique photo de cette belle région.
J'aime beaucoup le cadrage en diagonal avec les statues de pierre qui bordent la route.
La lumière offre de belles teintes bien chaudes.

Découvrant ta galerie ,tu me fais rêver avec tes voyages.
J'aime beaucoup ce cadrage vertical ,il fallait oser et c'est réussi .Très belle diagonale et surtout c'est l'opposition de ces deux périodes qui est frappante ainsi que celle de ces couleurs chaudes ,douces et d'autres vives.Bref j'aime cette photo
Ton guide porte la joie sur son visage

Une lumière très particulière se dégage de cette image est j'aime le cadrage de ce tuk-tuk et de ces passagers: une tache de couleur au milieu des statues aux allures mystérieuse.
J'aime aussi beaucoup ton histoire avec Ramondr et le WS qui va avec. dans nos voyages nous arrivons souvent à créer des liens assez forts avec ceux qui nous accompagnent dans nos aventures. Pas plus tard qu'il y a deux semaines j'ai reçu un mail du guide que j'avais eu en Indonésie en 2004 et qui m'envoyait des photos de son récent mariage! ;o)

1/1000. Why not increase the aperture to f/5.6 and the ISO and get a sharper background? Was the tuktuk really flying that fast? I feel that the shot focus corridor of statues don't do much justice to the scene here. Composition on the other hand is extremely good as it creates a wonderful running course for the main suject. Wouldn't change a single bit here. Warm light and colors are super.

What a fantastic composition. The red tuk-tuk is really at the right place and the whole shot is absolute taken in great light. This place must be awesome, i really go there. Maybe a f5.6 was better for some more sharpness on the statues in the back but i also like this view...wonderful..!!!

Really good original shot outside the walls of the Bayon. I tried to get a shot like this but none turned out. Just interested in if I'm right in assuming this was taken on top of the wall?

Great composition and color also. Different in that you are looking at the back of everyone (thing).Brings back good (coughing) memories of Cambodia. Great shot in the context of not getting any other tourists in the photo which easier said than done. I'm sure you know what I mean.

You choose the best point to take this shot including the statues in front and in the back.In the middle the red tuktuk is very well seen as the main subject.Nice lighting also!

Hello Andre.
I'm really liking the low light here. Was it morning of afternoon? The orange glow along the street makes a wonderful pathway for the travelors visiting this temple. Also, something of the light adds a mystical quality to the photograph...perfect for those statues silently looking on.

Quelle belle photo, Andre! La lumière est superbe et ton cadrage vertical idéal. J'aime aussi beaucoup le parallèle entre le tuktuk et les staues "porteuses"....deux modes de transport éloignés dans le temps. Ton guide a l'air particulièrement sympathique.

Hi Andre,
I like your point of view from slightly above here. Taking a tuk-tuk is a great way to see the temples! Nice composition with the diagonal lines of the statues and I like the contrasting colour of the tuk-tuk. This shot brings back nice memories for me.

Very original compo...with the icons of Cambodia...tuk tuk & Angkor Thom. I like the idea that the centre part i.e the Tuk tuk is the sharpest as it rides through the gods & demons

Plutot original cette scene bien capturee. Un site magique, bien entendu le sur-tourisme a fond mais comme dans le cas de Hoi An, il y a evidemment cause...
