Hi Andre,
Excellent photo with a superb vertical composition contemplating the entire Buddha, the monks on bottom and the painting on top. You are showing a great deal of detail, including the smaller figures also dressed in orange. Also, your note is very good with a simple explanation of the Buddhist philosophy. Well done.

Lots of detail to keep us busy for a while, Andre. A well exposure and balanced composition. (Maybe the orange is slightly oversaturated)
The note is informative, but I am not sure about the title, maybe -- In Reverence.

Hi Andre,
Nice how you used those small flags in the composition. A tight framing, but i like that because it really shows only that what's it all about. The man standing at the left is just a minor, though important detail in the overal composition...really good.

Bonjour Andre. Une belle scene, epique, pleine de dignite dans le rite avec des couleurs justes et sans fanfare. Aucun probleme avec la couler orange sur mon ecran. Un tableau. Quelle veine de tomber sur ce groupe, encore fallit-il savoircmment en tirer quelquechose d'aussi chouette.

bonjour André.
Jolie composition avec tous ces petits drapeaux, j'aurais certes préféré ceux du dessus se terminer dans le coin, mais ce n'est pas le plus important de l'image.
les teintes oranges des moines contrastent bien et donnent le bon élément coloré à l'image.

Hi Andre,
I can look at this image for a long time it has so many fine details from floor to ceiling. The colour of the monks robes and the sash on the statue really jumps out against the stone. A great balanced composition, very well done.

I just got done posting on another photo not 5 minutes ago on the same temple. This is a really good photo. The flags crossing it, the monk standing in contrast to the rest sitting, the ornaments in front of the Buddha, the painted ceiling, the especially old looking Buddha, all combine to make a very interesting photo. Great composition. I still think your colors are a little flat but I have a feeling that is because I'm on an old CRT and you're on something like an LCD. Anyway, great photo, great composition, great work.

...I just switched to an LCD and it does look much better, not flat whatsoever but really good colors.

Such a perfectly beautiful composition. I love the crisscrossing flags in the upper portion of the photo, the Buddha in the middle, and all the monks at the very bottom. The colors are rendered very well. Great shot.

Great image for sure. I haven't seen this place in Siam Reap, and you were lucky to find monks, which is not current in every temple.

Superbe image aux tons magnifiques et composée de façon parfaite : les petits élèves et leur maître, tous petits devant l'immense Buddha....très belle image d'une grand qualité (ça sert quand même d'avoir du matériel aussi performant...pour l'instant je ne peux qu'en rêver....)

Perfect balanced compo Andre! Colors were majestically recorded and the way you included the crossing festive flags constitutes a nice detail. I don't find the compo tight at all as there is a lot of things to see in the frame. In my opinion you focused the viewer into the action - probably what you wanted to share - and the result is perfect. Like it a lot.

This photo shows that photography is more than just the nuts and bolts of F stops, metering, etc. You have to really understand and appreciate a culture to create an image like this. Your photo speaks volumes about the Buddhist religion and way of life. A beautiful image full of serenity and grace. Outstanding!

Bonjour André,

Celle-là, j’aimerais l’avoir encadrée dans mon atelier. C’est gigantesque. Les moines bien alignés tout au bas de ton image, avec ce bouddha bienveillant qui les surplombe donne une image percutante. On sent l’éclairage extérieur dans lequel baigne cette scène et le résultat est magnifique. Les couleurs sont impressionantes, avec toute cette gamme d’orangés qui contraste avec les pierres grises légèrement verdoyantes. Le plafond avec cette auréole apporte encore plus de spiritualité à ta photo. AM
