Hi Danos,
You were two weeks later here than i was, how strange. The light you caught here is also complete different than in my images. There is a lot of yellow toning here and i miss the blue sky, did you had bad weather, or is it a more creative touch to this view where we all stand?
Your reflection is superb, like a mirror. When i was there there was some wind so i did not get that, glad you had had because it makes taking pictures from this place very interesting. The top from the temple is almost touching the edge, bit more space there would be perfect.

This is a superb photo of Angkor Wat from a wonderful POV. I just love the reflections in the very calm water, which really is a mirror. The light and clouds work together to get a wonderful mood. Very well captured, great photo work!

The perfect calm water gives you a good mirror effect. Hazy sky and the color tone seems yellow. For reflection, the tip of temple touches your border, or perhaps less sky to handle that. You have done a great pov to get such a shot.

Η συμμετρία είναι εκπληκτική! Την συγκεκριμένη εικόνα την έχω δει επανειλημμένως στο TrekEarth και είναι ομολογουμένως πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα. Το νερό λειτουργεί ως ένας τέλειος καθρέπτης! Η αρχιτεκτονική αυτή είναι ιδιαίτερη και πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα θα έλεγα. Όσον αφορά την λήψη αυτή καθαυτή, είναι εξαιρετική χωρίς αμφιβολία! Δεν θα μπω στα τετριμμένα "ο ουρανός δεν βοήθησε ..." που συχνά πυκνά ακούμε. Δεν με απασχολεί διόλου κάτι τέτοιο. Είναι η φύση εκείνη που φτιάχνει τις συνθήκες, εμείς ακολουθούμε τις συνταγές της!

Unusual colors for that so-many-times-shot place. And then, you find originality and that's great for that subject.
And, it's perfectly compose, especially with the reflection/symmetry (even if you cut the top of the biggest temple).

You chose a classic POV as all visiters to this magnificent temple have to have this view to take away. What gives this the edge is the fantastic reflections you were able to capture. Not easy to manage the strong light but you have achieved an excellent image.

Hello Danos,
at first sight I did not like the picture due to the pale colours and the conventional composition.
Observing it closer I have changed my opinion. You write about the harmony of the complex and the best approach to make it perceptible is even this symmetric composition making skilfully use of the superb reflection. And yes, may be the moderate colours fit better to an abandoned masterwork of ancient architecture - they inspire to think over rather than merely admire.

Kalimera Danos,
that grey background lead the eye to put more attention on the reflection, great clarity and sharpness and the format makes it to a real line. The reflection is a bit softer in the colous which works very well here.

Danos,
it seems that sooner or later we all at TE have to get to this place and have or own impressions. A very classic view that you're presenting us here and yet a view that I would be proud of having in my own collection. I guess that I will have to wait many other years to fulfill this dream. In the meantime I dream on my screen by looking into shots like yours.
Wasn't there the possibility to lower a little bit your camera to have more space between the reflection and the frame?

Hi Danos,

your friend must be very dear to you, cause this dedication is simply stunning! It looks unreal with its perfect reflections like a movie scene for structures from other planet, other civilisations. But no, this beauty exists right here on earth. :). What can I say about this one otherwise then pure perfection. It is simply perfect in all aspects: colour harmony, image balance, composition and motive.

The place is teeming with tourists as we see. The reflection is just brilliant, a perfect mirror. The sky is a bit bland, typically Asian..I like the framing with the two tall palm tees on either side. Excellent Danos!
