Hallo Andreas,
Indeed, a weird picture considering the situation in Cambodia, this looks really disgusting. But on the other hand it tells about the situation there and the habits those people have. Seeing this one i had to think about another disgusting one which i will post tomorrow...
Have a nice sunday, Henk

Hi Leo,
Man, what a strange image but the register is worth it indeed! In a certain way, it's not good to see that in a poor country but let's think better about it...if they don't find the proper stuff in the supermarket, or maybe that stuff is more expensive than a pineapple. Perhaps there is not industry to supply that or even worse, they need to import it from some first world country. I really don't know, but we usually do what we can. Maybe that's the only option, what you think?
Pertinent post. Well done!
Regards,
Carlos

Bonjour
bon dimanche

Hi Andreas,
At first it is an absurd and funny photograph. But on the other hand it is just sad! Good note and a good link added. You really wonder how someone gets to this idea?! Really sad.
Greetings,
Dennis

Maybe not the most pleasing from a purely visual aesthetic stand-point, but certainly pertinent to the mission of TE. I applaud your reaction to this outrage and the d**kheads who run the joint. Regards,

Hallo Andreas!
Mutig!

Hi Leo,
I can well understand your disgust; especially after reading the article. As you say, "This is a story that needs to be told." The gap between rich and poor is widening fast; even here where forclosures are way up yet multimillion dollar homes still sell well.

Are the pineapple slices supposed to be air freshener? Sick example of waste, average photo but very interesting documentary. They cut corners by having poor workmanship around the grout and tilework and try to compensate by "impressing" the rich customers with peeing on food? Chinese management I'm guessing.

Leo
Amicalement

Hello Leo,
I like your shot & note, I'm not sure what to make of it all but looking at this shot I can see that somebody dislikes pineapple & workmanship on a very expensive accommodation resort is shocking. Looking at the tiles makes me wonder if the food was the same quality.
Interesting note.
Thanks
Santo

Hallo Andreas,
Sehr dokumentarisch.
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

Good post to draw attention to the current situation. It's difficult to imagine the motivation for putting the pineapple in the urinal but it is a sick idea.

Hi Andreas,
A great note....and the image a real "eye opener".Each time I empty the reminants of my fridge when I go for my weekly shopping I always think about how next time I can calculate better and avoid throwing stuff away.Even more relivant now after seeing in the media how basic food stocks are diminishing.Also.....what an unusual place to throw away food?! TFS and take care.

Great subject Andreas,
Good on you for leaving this particular establishment. Can't believe how they are throwing away good fruit into a urinal, yet outside many hungry people would have put the pineapples to better use.

Hej Leo,
This is a kind of picture that I'm sometimes missing in TE a picture that tells more than others a have a political undertone even if it's not take any part. or another way to say "who gives a piss" Good seen well framed and even better thinking.

Impressing truth-ringing picture...
If this is not staged, and let's face it it's so absurd I don't see how it could be, it's revolting to see this kind of disgusting behavior in a country screaming for a basic bowl of rice per day...
Quick thinking on this one, and congrats!

hi Andreas
i can't really understand what these pineapple slices are doing in such a place!Like you,I think it's shoking in a very poor country, but maybe they have a reason to do that!Incredible!
Have a nice evening.

I never imagine Cambodian will wast the food like that. Even though it's cheap. In Cambodia u can pay just half $ u can get a fresh one or 2 of good Pineapple.

Hi Andreas
A wierd and disgusting image - I would not eat there either. It is hard to understand this mentality in a poor country.

Bonjour Andreas
Amicalement
Denis!

Hmmm:)
Looks like my photo in the toilet as well - but I didn't put it on the TE:)
If I were to order some food I'd have done the same - I'd have cancelled:)
But have you noticed that after a few days you get used to the toilets, spitting and "others"...
Great documentary:)
