Photographer’s Note
This is a photo I happened to catch while visiting the Summer Palace in Beijing. It was difficult to balance the shade in foreground with the bright midground and the colourful background. I liked the two carts which lend balance and scale to the image.
Minor sharpening and resizing is all the post processing I did.

Hi Sue,
The long vertical format here really works, as do the shadow effects, as the eye is driven forward into the light. There is good depth of field, and the two wagons nicely balance each other in the frame. Very well captured.
