Morning Blue 10/3

There is only one harvest in a year for the Yuanyang Rice Terrace; planting is from March to Oct/Nov every year.

During winter to early spring, the empty rice is filed with spring water from the forest above to rejuvenate and prepared the terrace for the next season. The Hani people have repeated this for more than a thousand years.

The “Blue Mirrors” are reflection of the sky from the water filled rice terrace

No, this is not a forest fire or pollution

This photo was taken in the morning when the fog condensed at the bottom of the valley between the 2 Rice Terraces.

An hour later, when the temperature hot ups the fog rose so quickly and covers the entire rice field and eventually evaporated.

It was a spectacular sight
