Details of the turqoise-coloured river between Nangartse and Lhatse. I thought the shadows made an interesting effect on the water in this small "gorge"

---

The picture is from a motorbike trip from Lhasa to Everest base camp and back. This particular place is on a strange strip of dirtroad between Nangartse and Lhatse, which was litterally under construction AS WE WERE DRIVING ON IT.
When entering the dirtroad around Nangartse, the Chinese construction workers were "pretty sure" that we could navigate the road all the way to Lhatse. But they were constructing the road AS we were driving on it. That is; blowing dynamite behind us and in front of us, and using small excavators to clear the small dirt path from rocks and landslides. After a full days drive, and a little after this picture was taken, the construction workers - in front of us and behind us - made a huge dynamite explosion, and a giant landslide blocked the road. Behind us, the road was also blocked for some time. We were caught on this small road for two days, before we had to turn around and go all the way back, including ascending and descending the 5000 M. Yamdrok Tso pass, and take a longer rd. via Shigatse.

But the scenery and colours around this river was beautiful.

A nice composition of nature..

Hi Henrik,
Waow ! I love it ! So abstract that it's impossible to guess what it is from the thumbnail. Awesom composition with the triangular shadow o=in the center. Really original with nice colors. Congratulations.
Marion

Yes indeed excellent abstract, element of the nature(face to face),amazing colours,
and beautiful WALL POSTER, good details also, well done henrik.

Hi Henrik:

The color of the water is just so breathtaking! Honestly, I have no clue what it was not after when I enlarged it.

The most perfect abstract.

Cheers!

Very interesting and nice.
It could even be a toy model, as it is not easy to set the scale. I should go to Tibet sooner or later...

Hello Henrik,
Remarkable scenery in an almost geometrical composition. Fantastic colours.
