Its a very good comparison between your and british Library archives, wow...126 years ago !! Both pictures i like alot...
Almost not much different maybe just miss the water view on fg now...

This is an imposant palace. The point view is leading our eyes towards the Raj Mahal palace. The trees are a natural frame around the palace. The light enhance the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Interesting comparison of the 126 year old photo with yours today. It's a pity the river dried up, although it looks like they are doing some landscaping of the area. It is a well chosen POV so the palace is taken from the corner so you have double perspective to put some depth into the scene. Great minds think alike ;D

excellent documetary providing us the photograph of 126 years ago! What made the river dry up? Some dam?
The composition is a good one, but the foreground is a little bit dark and the leaves gives some shiny reflections. It seems to me that a polarizing filter to avoid these reflections could enhance the image as well as a ND grad filter (1-2 stops, maybe) to open up more the light in the foreground.

A lot of details to look at here.. the small fields in FG, long wall and arches, then on top the superb fort.. it looks a great place! Sharp and bright, nie colors too. Even the electric line is not disturbing, as it took me a while to see it as it blends well in the sky, and i am still am not sure of what it is!

It is a good composition, very well organized and with very beautiful elements that have a nice graphism, as this palace of magnificent architecture and the landscape that surrounds it. The image has a good balance and a good lighting, with a few saturated well colors.

The parallelism between the two photos is a great option! The castle is unchangeable excluding the surroundings. The PoV is the same that Deen Dayal had chosen for shooting. Your Lumix did a very good work, registering the view!

Nice view of the place and of the battlmented wall (I learned a new word here, excelelnt for my English). The river seems to have been replaced by the fields/gardens a long time ago, but for the colors it is much better since the green constracts well with the red/brown of the building and wall.

Hello Angshu,

Very interesting to see the workshop of over 100 years ago, combined with the new photograph. Actually, next to the river, nothing really changed here. A very pleasant photograph, a good note and wonderful in combination with the workshop.
I've been thinking about doing a new/old series. I just have one problem with it and that's copyright... In a sense, when placing the workshop without paying or asking reproduction rights, you are violating copyright. I'm wondering how you think about this issue, since it is what holds me back to do an old/new series.

Hello Angshu, it is surprising to note that photo catch in 1882 is extremely comparable with holds, if it is not that at that time there was much more water, leaves against it there to more vegetation nowadays, but in both cases the frontage of Raj Mahal seems to resist time, beautiful opportunism to sincerely present this photograph to us which does not age,...................Hello Angshu, il est surprenant de constater que la photo prise en 1882 est fort comparable à la tienne, si ce n’est qu’à cette époque il y avait beaucoup plus d’eau, part contre il y à plus de végétation de nos jours, mais dans les deux cas la façade de Raj le Mahal semble résister au temps, bel opportunisme de nous présenter cette photo qui ne vieillit pas, bien amicalement

First of all Congrats for the 350 th shot. Phenomenal acheivement.
Regarding the shot-Did you see the British library photo first and then shoot this?? The POV s are exactly the same. The inclusion of the classic picture in the WS helps us understand the difference. Good documentary shot. Good composition. BTW, I can see a white line over the boundary wall. Is it a scratch?

Oh, I wish I could go back there one day, I was struck by all the beauty of this little village, all those splendid buildings, temples and mausoleums too... Plenty of good memories about that place !
And yet, I don't remember so well this POV - your WS is excellent, you must have been really glad to find it !
Colours are beautiful and natural (I also wondered about this white band, then read your answer to Shaeri, this is what I had suspected !)

excellent pov. the palace with the fort wall and the bridge give a complete picture. its nice that a photograph was taken 126 years back from a similar position. it can be noticed that then there were some more buildings close to the palace which don't exist now. tfs.
