[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This picture was taken inside one of the rooms of Jehangir Mahal , Orchha's most admired palace.

Most of the numerous rooms in the palace are light & airy, with beautiful stone lattice-work windows giving great views over the countryside. These windows with varied designs of pierced stone screens play with sunlight and create lovely patterns on the inside of palace.

I have said before that I have learnt a lot in TE & have been inspired by seeing the work of a lot of excellent & talented photographers. For this picture, I have been inspired by my fellow Delhi-ite, a Trekker & a talented photographer, whom I, unfortunately, have not had the privilege of meeting so far. This is my humble dedication to him - Aadiil.

Hi Angshuman

A superb interplay of shadow & light, on the wall & floor, with good sharpness & light contrasts. Tfs!

Having seen the wonderful architecture with the lacy patterns in your previous uploads it is great to see an interior shot and the effects of the light through the carvings. Well composed to also include the "window" itself. Well done
Kath

Hi Angshuman,

The light is the main asset of the photo. It is creating different shape of light and shadow on the wall and on the floor. The portrait view of the image is the best way to show it. Well done, have a nice day.

This surely came as one big surprise Angshuman. I am touched by your humility and modesty because frankly I found you to be a far more talented photographer. Thanks for your dedication. I think you have as usual done a great job here playing with lights and the darkness in a way that it should really have been done. You have anyway done great with the outside shots of the monuments...now that you decide to move in, I am sure we are in for some treat! Thanks once again.

It is a very well done picture where light plays a big role. You managed a great composition playing with the dark and the light spots. I love it.
Antonio

Hello Angshu,
Beau travail !

hello Angshu,
absolutely beautiful photo, the patterns of light and shadow do indeed remind of a delicate lace, I like a lot this effect. the simple composition helps to focus attention on the strong red and brown colours that I've come to associate with India. really fine work, my compliments.

with best regards,
Kristine

Hi Angshuman,
Excellent way to take advantage of the nice graphism of the drawings created by the light in the walls and the ground of this room.
Good exposure and good setting, I like this work, my friend.
Best regards,
Josep
PS: Thank you for your nice words on my grandson.

Hi Angshu,
I also immediately thought about Aadil even from the thumbnail! The angle though, gives a different approach to the subject... I may have cropped the top a bit lower, just above the top window, thus avoiding some white areas, but that is quite minor detail!
Greetings

Hello Mr. B,

Mathematical mosaics are always appealing for me, and this is no exception. The shadows of lattice work playing on walls is a very effective way of presenting them. I know some of the photographs of Aadiil; it is gracious of you to mention him. I will look at his work also.

Warm regards and have a good weekend,

Bulent

hello Angshuman,
very nice this interior shot with the the light to penetrate the windows and to 'write' on the walls. The view from these stone lattice-work windows must be perfect of the habitants of Jehangir Mahal.I like the record of this beauty under difficult lighting conditions.Informative your note.

Regards,danos

Hello Angshu. I like the beautiful pattern created by the light passing through the intricate design of the shade. Well captured in brilliant glow and contrast. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Hi Angshuman,
Now we can see what these intricate windows can do besides showing its beauty from the outside. The creator really has a good and well planned vision but of course it needs a sensitive photographer to spot this beauty. A well composed shot with good lighting. Well done!!

All the best.

Hi Angshumanda,
Sorry I missed this one earlier (I don't know how!). I can see the inspiration that you mentioned, even though there is an orginality of our own style. This is truly a remarkable picture, very artistic, one of your very best.
Thanks for sharing,

Actually, I opened it before but went to the latest I prefer. The idea is ok but the framing is maybe too large, especially on the left part, which a dark and "empty". And the sunny spots seem a little overexposed. That's why I didn't stay...
Stéphane

Very nice play of light, yes I was also thinking of Aadiil...
Lovely, compliments !
