This picture is part of ruins of Nalanda university.This
university was founded in the 5th century AD by Kumara Gupta.It was excavated first in the year 1871 AD.Excavation continued by archelogical Survey of India between 1915-1937 and 1974 to 1982.Has exposed extensive remains of the temple and Monasteries Nalanda university had great travelers like Hiuen tsang and I-tsing from china seeking Knowledge.It is maintained by The Archaeological survey of India. |
