My team was discussing with a group of villagers in a small village in Orissa, India about the advantages of Information and Communication Technology for rural development. I noticed the skepticism in the face of this old man about our initiatives. Thousands of broken promises must have made him skeptical. He was chewing a paan (betel leaves with betel nuts and tobacco) which manifested his skepticism further.

Hello Balasubramanian

What brings me to critique this photo is because I think you have achieved a great profile and overall result for a portrait photo.
The general composition is great, showing off just his face really lets the viewer get into his mind at this moment and feel his skepticism.
The one thing that I feel is bringing down the overall impression is the fact that there is too much light in this photo.
I would recommend using an even faster shutter and thus propably redusing the spread and hopefully just illuminating the main facial features.
