In Bhubaneswar, the state capital of Orissa, normal life was affected due to the 12 hours bandh (strike) call given by RSS, VHP and ruling government coalition partner BJP, to protest the killing of VHP leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati at Kandhamal, a tribal dominated districts in Orissa todayon the 25th August. Though government is claiming that the Swami has been killed by the Naxals, people are claiming it as a communal violence. In most of the important places party workers burnt tyres and blocked the roads by putting branches of trees making it difficult for office goers, passengers and others to proceed to their destination.

This photograph is taken during the bandh. I found this child is trying to clean the road putting a question mark at our duties and responsibilities.

Hi soumen.

Very Interesting capture.Yes I was on the road for some of the street photography on the Orissa bandh.Will upload some of mines here.

U have tried to document a very good shot and also raised a valid question.
