This is the harvesting time in India & we can see farmer's working in rural area. I have seen these people working very hard in the open field even if there is 45-48 degrees. But even though he has to depend on weather many times & many places. It is said that our hard work is always paid off but if you see these people working in field from morning 4 a.m. to till evening in those harsh weather condition I hope you will surely say that there hard work must be paid off. But even today these poor farmers not earning that much for which they are entitled for.

I am not telling that every time or every farmer is that much unlucky because now the time has changed & situation is improved a lot & the government is doing his best job but the big & developing country like India its not that much easy. This is not the condition of India it may be the situation for any country in the world.

One last thing I would like to say that we can live without missiles, we can live without computers, we can live without TV or film etc. but we can't live without meal & we can't imagine our daily life without it. So for our meal for our life it’s important that these people must work in our fields 'HAPPLY'. This is to pay respect all the farmers in the world.

I took this shot when I saw this farmer working in the field in the morning even on that time it’s very hot & difficult for me to stay in the open field & then these thoughts came in my mind.

PP work- Cropped, used sepia tone, added frame & adds contrast.

Excellent picture! Great lines that lead the eye and give as a result an excellent composition. Great choice of b&w, make the picture look like it comes from a diferent era. Congratulations!

Typical shot of ……MERE DESH KEE DHARTI…. With nice emotional note..
Thanks for sharing.

Very touchy note indeed. Good capture of daily life with that hard working man positioning right in the fram. B/W effect goes well with the grim condition of farmers of India, you depicted very well through your lens.

Hello...
The scenery is well framed, and telling a strong story about daily life!
Good sharpness and details, sepia tone fits subject and situation!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Srini
I admired this shot already before but my ratings were up, so fine that with delay I still can express my appreciation for this perspective view of the faemer working on his land. A pleasant turn to green/sepia giving it an extra fine mood. I favor this one a lot.

Hello Srini,
Wonderful composition of the village life. The b/w effect is very good. This compo has a old touch in it. Good dynamic shot.
Best regards,
Sayan

Une image qui nous semble venir de la nuit des temps avec le sujet et les tons sépia. Cette façon de labourer était celle des anciens. Elle respectait la terre et l'environnement et en plus donnait un équilibre que l'agriculture moderne à rompu.

Hi Ishan,

I absolutely agree with you sepia use, this care for a great moment and great composition, also your angle is perfectly for perspective.

Very well done,

Hello.
A very well seen shot you have taken heree. The use of the sepia tone is well received. Good angle in the shot with a well place POV. The unusual shoulder angle contrasts with that of the dirt mounds in the background.
Very nice,
Chris

Hi RS Srinivasan,

A nice daily life scene, I like the color tones here as well, nicely composed...
Cheers

Hello Ishan,
Very touching picture of this man at hard labor. Many of your country's people that immagrated to Guyna have come to my hometown in Schenectady, NY and they have rebuilt many old homes in the inner city. Both my daughters are school teachers in Schenectady's schools and they say that the Indian people from Guyna are the hardest working students.
I love how you have framed this photo to this side and agree that the seipa works very well.
Regards My Friend,
Tom

Hi Srinivasan, good picture here, almost sepia with yellow tones, the mood of it is great, you show very well the labor in fields of india.
I like it a lot

Hi Srinivasan,

Hi Srini,
It is quite interesting to know that all your pics are taken with a mobile camera... a pretty good result in the end though...

THIS IS A GREAT PHOTO WITH EXCELLANT LIGHTING ON THE SUJECT AND WITH A GREAT NOTE.
The only thing I would say would be to use a polariser filter to darken the sky next time. Or you could use a red/yellow filter if taking black and white photos.
Its because the sky is slightly over exposed and without a filter nothing can be done, unless you don't include the sky and take it at a different angle.
Talking about farmers, here in the image they work physically hard and I suspect there is no subsidies unlike the western world. Also in wesrtern europe they use massive machines and don't really do the physical hard labour as they do in your country.

Simon

Hi Srinivasan
A great shot of the farmer and his animals at work. I like how the trail they are following forms a lovely diagonal across the screen. The image is well framed and I like the sepia treatment. Nice work.
Best wishes
Mark

Hi RS,
A very nice and timeless scene, for that reason it's good that you turned it into sepia, and it probably allowed you as well to reduce the importance of an unattractive sky. Would have been even better framed a bit higher or wider in order not to cut the trees
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Shrinivasan!
B/W sepia - perfect selection! Toiling for the bread - onother perfect selection! Some people use for the same job tons of gasoline, but the end comes. This man with his wide shoulders and his oxen will prevail in the long run when all oil wells will be exhausted... He will be our teacher in life stile, he will be our instructor in survival...
Great shot! A lot of meaning!
Anton
