We went to a trip to the three ancient religious places in Bandel. The Bandel Basilica (Church), the Hangseshwari Mandir (Temple) and the Hooghly Imambara (Mosque). All these are historic structures 4-500 years old located on the West Bank of the Hooghly river, at about a distance of 50 km from Calcutta.
This man was rowing us from the Church to the mosque. He rowed against the tide and was forced to use his leg as a helping hand. |
