| The five-day Durga Puja, the biggest festival of the Hindus, ended yesterday. This is the day called "Vijaya Dashami", when idol of Goddess Durga will be immersed in the near by river. With colorful and majestic parade accompanied by Dhunuchi dance, a kind of ritualistic dance and beating of the dhaak, the idol is taken to the near by river. With the believers yelling loudly, proclaiming, next year it’ll happen once again, the idol is immersed in the river water. A sense of sadness suddenly overshadows the festive mood as one has to wait for another year to feel the elation associated with Durga Puja celebration. |

Hello Sunandan,
Nice picture, with great use of the blur.
I like too the blur.
Beautiful,
Have a nice day,
JB.
Hmmm, interesting and mystic...very nice. Great capture of a moment as well as the statue. Kinda too yellowish - was that in real or is it bad WB? Anyway, the yellow tint gives the photo an unusual feeling.
Best regards,
Adrian
Idols and people in the same composition
