A river runs through it...

Played with saturation and contrast...
A typically exotic landscape from the cold desert of Lahaul-Spiti in Himalayas with River Chandra flowing through it(on the way to Chandratal). What caught my eye was the mouth of the Glacier, supposedly "Bada Shigri" Glacier, one of the largest n longest in the world.
See Chandratal for more details. |

Hi,
Too much contrast on the sky...otherwise its perfect!
Yes, thats the Bara Shigri all right...its 32 kms long ! This is the end of it. Pity its shrinking at approx 15 mtrs every year.
