Photographer’s Note

I was in Dharamsala for the Dalai Lama's birthday celebrations in 2002. The town becomes a hive of activity during this time with Tibetans from other parts of India and tourists flocking to McLeod Ganj for the festivities.

At Tsuglagkhang Temple hundreds of children took part in cultural performances that included traditional Tibetan song and dance. This young boy was part of a small choir.

This image is from a scanned photo taken in 2002 on a Canon EOS 400.

A nice portrait of the child in traditional clothing - very nice and rich colours. I thought there was a bit of noise and tried to remove some in the workshop.
