We went to the Dudhwa wildlife sanctuary for nature watching. This sanctuary was later raised as a national park of India. The man whose efforts made this place of 900 sq. kms area a natural habitat from being ruined in the hands of politically tainted realtors, wood fellers, poachers etc. is Arjan Singh. He is nicknamed as 'Billy' standing for female cat. He used to rear tigers in his house and hence the name, since cat is supposed to be an aunt of tiger family according to the fables of this subcontinent. We went to his home 'Tiger Heaven' to pay our sincere thanks and gratitude to him for his futuristic vision. My travelmates pose with him in this photo. He is very old now and is little feble due to age. He lives alone.
