Photographer's Note

Rishikesh is about 238km Northeast of Delhi and lies at the point where the wooded mountains of Indian Himalayas rise abruptly from the low valley floor and the river Ganges crashes onto the plains. It's the center of New Age and Hindu activity, with its many Ashrams, Yoga Centers and Temples, but it's also emerging as an adventure sports hub, with rafting, treking and mountaineering. I came here for the Mountain treking.
In the photo, you can see Ramjhula bridge, about three kms from the center and one of the two hanging cable bridges that Rishikesh has.
On the other side, you can see a Temple and up in the forest, a Sanactory. I thought that was also a temple, but I found out that it wasn't, when I made a nice walk to there.
I was attracted by the dynamic shape of the bridge and its cables, that could be seen from this perspective. It's also common to see monkeys running and jumping along those cables and it's amazing how they can manage to not fall down - but of course, they are monkeys!
No monkeys seen here, but in the WS, there's a photo seen from the other margin and if you look better, you can see some along the cables.
