Sikkim's famous mask display the expertise of the locals with wood. Costumed Lamas with gaily painted masks, ceremonial swords and sparkling jewels, leap and swing to the rhythm of resounding drums, trumpeting of horns and chanting of monks.
this mask was dislayed in a shop in m.g marg in gangtok,this place is the heart of the city,not only mask but various art work been seen in this area.it has been a main point to visit for tourist.the art of sikkim has become very popular all over tourist charms.here i would like to share it. hope you like it.

Nice one from your angled POV. I was imagining a more Buddhist or Himalayan motifs as masks, not Ganesha. But I think commercialism takes the upper hand rather than traditions
