Kerala - Andhakaranazhi Beach - Colours of Kerala

I couldn’t resist to show one more time how colourful Kerala is.
This picture and one in the WS are taken in the backwaters of Andhakaranazhi Beach, the place of my previous photo with the Chinese fishing nets.

I know that some of you won’t like the frame.
I used to provide colour frames before and often received comments. Then I switched to smaller black frames. This time I hold firm.

Recently someone pointed out to me that after my journeys to Colombia, Nicaragua and twice to the South of India, a next trip might look quite gray …
But I think there are still enough colourful destinations.

The second picture in the WS shows Saint Andrew’s Basilica.
You can find this basilica in Arthunkal which isn’t that far from Andhakaranazhi Beach.
The first church was built in the 16th century by Portuguese missionaries.
It was rebuilt in 1584 and once again in 1640. On 9 July 2010 the church was elevated to the status of basilica.
