Inside the Bhooth Bungalow

| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
I found two old houses just off a major highway in Chennai. Both these properties appeared to have been constructed in the 1920s or 30s and must have been magnificent structures at that time. They are now desolate and forlorn and fit aptly into what is called a 'Bhooth Bungalow' in India, which, literally translated, means 'Ghost House'.
Each of these properties had a security guard that makes me believe that these buildings will soon be pulled down, and shiny glass and steel structures will, as usual, come up and disfigure the skyline.
The security guards were highly suspicious of a person with a 'big' camera. With mollifications, both oral and otherwise, I was able to get hold of some shots… |

Hi Sridher,
Great shot, good composition and fantastic light. I like your POV, very well chosen, you've captured an amazing amount of detail. The brick in the doorway throwing the shadow is superbly placed.
Cheers
Peter
Excellent lighting and composition. The long shadow of the square block of concrete adds so much to the picture. Well taken. Krishna
