Photographer's Note

Junagadh, that means "Old Fort", is an important city located at the foot of the Girnar hills, in Gujarat and takes its name from the Uperkot - an impressive fort originally built in 319 BC.
This is one of the many monuments we can find in Junagadh: - the Mahabat Makbara. A combination of Islamic, Hindu and European architecture, it was built in the 19th century, to be the Mausoleum of the Mughal ruler of the region.
