Photographer's Note

A Hindu priest ready to perform religious rites for visitors to his temple. This is from one of the dozens of temples on Girnar Hill in Gujarat state. The temples can be reached by climbing a staircase of at least some 8000 steps. If you're not fit for climbing, there will be people willing to carry you all the way!
However, it's a very nice climb with lots of fellow visitors in a cheerful mood and lots of monkeys to watch. The famous Gir forest, home to the last remaining Asian lions, is not far away, but there are no lions on Girnar Hill.
In the workshop you can see one of the temple complexes from above.
