Trailed image of mighty Orion taken with D50. This is simplest of all processes in astrophotography. You just have to open the shutter for very long time and let the rotation of Earth take care of trails. This particular shot was taken to capture any meteor from the LEONID METEOR shower but no meteor was recorded in this frame. As soon as i completed the exposure, a meteor went through the same frame :-(
One can see stars of diffrent colors in the frame. Most noticeable is betelgeuse, the red trail in upper middle aprt of the frame.

Hello Chander,

I see you are also practicing long exposure on the stars. I had recognized Orion due to the 3 blue aligned stars and the red Betelgeuse. Orion, is one of the most interesting and easy to shoot.
For the Physic, the photo is really interesting, but perhaps too much abstract for Nature photo (missing some link with landscape I meant).
